Next Steps
1
Contact Me
We will check to see if I am available for your wedding date, and then we can set up an obligation-free meeting to see if I am the right celebrant for you.
Please remember that I only book one ceremony per day and I only book a limited number of ceremonies per year due to family and sports commitments.
First Meeting
Once you have decided that I am the celebrant for you we will arrange the first interview, either at my house, yours, or a cafe. At this interview we’ll get to know each other, we will talk about the type of ceremony you would like and I would love to hear about how you met and anything else that is special to you.

If this meeting is close to your wedding we will complete your Notice of Intent to Marry, I will need to view your original Birth Certificates or Passports. (I will cover these requirements with you on the phone before the meeting as well.)

If you are from interstate or overseas, all of these interviews can happen over the phone or via email, and you can post or email me a witnessed Notice of Intended Marriage form and your identification.

3
Follow up meeting, emails, phone calls etc.
We will talk about your ceremony, discuss any changes and complete your Notice of Intent to Marry if we haven't yet done this.
We can talk as many times as needed via phone, email or in person before your big day to make sure it is everything you want it to be.

Each party to marriage will also need to have an individual meeting to establish real consent as per the Marriage Act requirements. This needs to be completed prior to the wedding taking place and will only take a few minutes.

Rehearsal
If needed and you wish to, we will organise a time to rehearse the ceremony at the wedding venue.

It is great if anyone that has a role in the ceremony can be present, however, often people are travelling to share in your special day can't always be there.

We will run through the ceremony, organise any cues for those that are part of the ceremony and look at the logistics prior to the day so that you feel comfortable and confident that you know what is going to happen.
5
The Big Day!
I’ll arrive 30 minutes before the wedding is due to start.

I will make sure everything is ready and organised and.......

You will get married!
6
After the Ceremony
After the ceremony, I’ll send all of the paperwork to the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry in your State and apply for your marriage certificate if you would like me to ($60 additional fee)

The Commemorative Marriage Certificate you sign in the ceremony can’t be used for anything official, like changing your name or applying for a shared Medicare card.

I must submit your marriage documents within 14 days.
